Bernhard global Parts and Consumables Team continue to exceed delivery time targets – Meet the team

Despite the disruption of the move to the new Haverhill factory in June 2012 this remarkable team have managed to hit their target of 100% Customer deliveries within 3 days from receiving the order to delivery – worldwide.

Seamus Clery, who has been in his job as Production Manager for 9 years said, “Our team has to work well together because with shipping deadlines to meet, we are always under pressure. We average around 260 orders a month, and each order can be anything from a couple of items to up to 20.

He went on to explain how the team work, “Orders come in at all hours. If they are straight forward, they are processed by Stella and passed to the stores where they are individually packed by Roy. If a customer needs to identify parts, Alan, our technical support expert and Tony our Shop Floor Supervisor will help them with this.

The orders are then shipped, Priority and International Priority all over the world. We are well positioned here close to Stansted Airport.

Our target is 3 days from receipt of order to delivery worldwide, and we are averaging 2¼ days at the moment, so we are very pleased. UK orders are sent on a Next day delivery service.

Mostly we send around 18-20 orders a day, but there have been days when that goes up to 25 – so 1000 items a month is not unusual for us.

We are a good team. We work well together and, when the pressure is on, we all muck in. We enjoy what we do and we know we are efficient.”
