We are pleased to welcome Chris Langley and Doug Veine who joined our sales team this Spring.

Chris, SE USA Territory Sales Manager and Doug, Mid West & North East USA Territory Manager will work alongside Gary Ray, our Business Development Manager, North America.

bco_cl-web.jpgChris says he’s always wanted to work for Bernhard since he bought his first set of grinders back in 2000.

“I bought one of the first Express Dual 5000 machines and I was so impressed with the back up and dedication to customer service from such a great bunch of people. I told Gary then, I’d always love to be a part of the company because I like the way they do things. It’s been a personal goal of mine.”

Born and raised in Florida, Chris spent most of his childhood in Eustis.  He and his wife, Joy and their three small daughters (aged 2, 5 and 7) have lived in Texas for some time, but they are all looking forward to moving back to their home patch in the Spring.

Chris has been an Equipment Manager since 2000, since he graduated from Lake City Community College (now Florida Gateway College). He worked for 8 years at Isleworth Golf and Country Club in Windemere, Florida, and Royal Oaks Country Club in Dallas, Texas for the last 3 years.

Chris says he’s the ideal person to develop sales for Bernhard and Company.

“All my working life I have used Bernhard equipment. I’m a devotee and I understand the machines. They are an exceptional product – quick and easy to use, and they get results. I am really looking forward to developing our market in South East USA and to work with Gary”.

When Chris is not working he loves to be around his family, messing with equipment, being outside, using his hands. He also loves fishing and shooting sports.

bco_dv-web.jpgWith many years experience of running maintenance operations for a golf management group with courses in Michigan, Northern Indiana and Chicago, Doug has also worked as Turf Equipment Manager at courses in Colorado and most recently at the 18 hole championship course, Harbor Shores Golf Club in Michigan where he has been for 5 years.

Doug first met Stephen Bernhard around 15 years ago in Colorado and has had Bernhard equipment even longer than that. “I’d say after 21 years in the industry I’ve used a lot of Bernhard grinders, in fact I’ve purchased 4 sets of machines at various places I’ve worked – so I am pretty well positioned to take on this new role and I know the product inside out.

I’m really looking forward to working with the company and with Gary. He’s a great guy, very supportive and I’m excited to get started on this new challenge.”

Doug lives with his wife Katie and their children, Brady (16) and Evan (13) in Berien Springs, Michigan.

In his spare time Doug loves to fish and living on Lake Michigan, he couldn’t be better positioned.

“When I worked in Colorado we were less than a mile from the Vail chair lift so we did a lot of skiing. The boys are fabulous skiers.  We still ski a couple of times a year, do a bit of motor-cross and dirt-bike riding, but fishing is my passion, and much kinder on my knees.”
